General Note: We need all volunteers to be at the fields at least 1 hour before the 1st scheduled game of the day. Thursday and Friday nights we need people at their venue by 3:00, Saturday and Sunday mornings: We need volunteers at their venue by 7:00 am for 8:00 games and 08:00 for 09:00 games.

Field Prep: Please arrive 30 min before the scheduled game time. Responsibilities include dragging, raking and watering the infield. Filling in the pitchers mound and batters box with ball mix and tamping. Chalking the batters box and foul lines. We do this BEFORE each game. During the game, we will monitor the field and if there's time we go out and hand rake around the bases mid-way through each game. We need as many people (even more than the slots that are listed) - especially if it rains. The minute it stops raining we have to get the fields ready as soon as possible. If you have any young men who are willing to help if it rains, please spread the word. We have over 50 baseball games to get in in the 4 days of the event.
Concession Stand: Please show up about 10 minutes before the scheduled game time to familiarize yourself with the concession stand, what we are preparing and selling. Each game lasts approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes. We want to be sure we have at least 2 people at minimum in the concession stand at all times. Duties will include selling and serving food and drinks and making sure inventory of beverages are stocked and kept cold.
Grill Masters: We have some local friends who love cooking on the grill and we have a great menu, but would definitely welcome help at their side. It is very critical to show up an hour before the 1st scheduled game of the day to have food ready to serve by game time. Otherwise, please show up at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start time of the game. We are cooking burgers, brats, Italian sausage and hot dogs. Saturday and Sunday, we make awesome breakfast sandwiches that we will be happy to teach anyone how to make.
Parking: This will be very critical at Spring Grove Park as we need to manage a lot of traffic and it will be constant, especially on Friday night(s) and both Saturday's with 11 baseball games being played at that venue. We will provide hi-vis vests to wear and will give you information. Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the scheduled game time.
Scorekeeper: Please arrive at least 20 minutes prior to the scheduled game time. If you haven't run the scoreboard, this will give you time to learn how to learn the controller.
Cleanup: We will need people to walk around each venue picking up trash through out the day keeping the parks clean, which will minimize the effort at the end of the day. Duties include picking up trash, checking garbage cans that may be full, emptying and putting new bags in. Taking full bags to dumpsters. We also want to leave the parks very clean before we leave for the night. This is a thorough walk thru of the venue making sure we've picked up all the trash and emptied all the garbage cans.
General Assistance: We will also be looking for people to be there as "gophers". Sometimes we may need someone to run up to the Jewel for misc. items or to the gas station to get ice, or to run something from one park to another.
We would like to get email addresses and cell phone numbers for those that sign up. The reason is this: Rain. Our worst enemy during a tournament. Schedules may change and we will want to be able to notify everyone if they do. We will send emails and text messages out in the event of cancellations or delays the best we can.
